Growing in the relationship with Lord, is preparing young people to serve Christ in all they do. This nurtures the congregation and allows the church to flourish. Serving young people not only prepares them to become future leaders, but also allows them to contribute to the church. God often used young people to do great things. Young Timothy was used by God to pastor and lead the Ephesian church when he was a teenager. 1 Timothy 4:12 says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
A Bible College which offers one year’s training, is established by Calvary Ministries as Young Leadership must be rooted in a biblical foundation in order effectively communicate with young people. In addition, they must understand modern influences on Christianity and the challenges faced by servants of God, which allow them to identify with youth and build meaningful relationships with them. It is important for the truth of the gospel to be passed down from generation to generation in order to grow the body of Christ. Ultimately, helping youth to grow spiritually in their formative years will equip them to make an impact for Christ both now and in their future.
Calvary Bible College with the enrolment of 52 students in 2000 and has been operational since then. The unique feature of the Bible training provided in this College is field training, where students are exposed to practical training needed in building a church. Students are taken on field trips to different communities of the society to gain the first and knowledge of the hardships faced in building God’s kingdom on Earth.
